Music: Walk Above The City - The Paper Kites

I created this piece based on a person’s relationship with their emotions. How we can feel supported, overwhelmed, restricted, or in control of them. The character’s costume is inspired by and reflects the colours of the trapeze, symbolising that the trapeze is part of them. I picked the song Walk Above The City particularly because of the lyric “we’re breathing more than we ever have before”, which resonated so much with me. It was important for me to created a realistic yet abstract piece. Jennifer Paterson (AD All or Nothing) created a stunning light design with notes of blues, greys and shadows.
