Jessica is studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as a member of their Theatre Company, recently accepted on the Reserve List for the Masters in Classical and Contemporary Text Acting. She is training for an Advanced Diploma in Physical Theatre at Edinburgh Summerhall.
Jessica is also developing her own production in Shadow Theatre.
After graduating with an HND in Acting and Performance at Edinburgh College in 2013, she has worked on a variety of performances from being cast in Immersive Theatre, Physical Theatre, Ballet, Stage adaptations of BBC Radio, and short films.
Her most recent work include working with Surge Physical Theatre Company at the Hidden Door Festival performing pop-up theatre. Jessica was cast as a Clown in the Queen Margaret University Costume Design Showcase. In March, Jessica played the part of The Messenger in an extract of Heracles by Euripides at the Syn Festival in Edinburgh. This followed on from her performance at the Manipulate Festival performing Puppetry with Tom Pringle. Before Christmas, she was cast as the Leader of the ensemble, at the Galoshans Festival in a performance with Surge Physical Theatre Company. Also cast as the most characters (8 in total) in a 5* Immersive Theatre production of Trainspotting (See Reviews) as it toured London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Bristol from 2014-2016. She portrayed the characters of iconic Gail Houston, Laura McEwan, Begbie's abused girlfriend June, Renton's Mother, and more - ranging in ages, nationality, comedy, and tragedy.
In 2016, in the Basque Country of France, Jessica volunteered at a Theatre and Arts Centre, she also taught English at the local Primary school. Over 2014-2015, Jessica ran a Variety Performance Scratch Night fortnightly in Edinburgh, enabling performing artists to come along to try new work in front of a supportive, welcoming, live audience. For the past few years, Jessica has worked as a reviewer for BroadwayBaby, as a Stage Manager with Citadel Arts, and devised workshops for Primary School children over Edinburgh teaching Drama (Strange Town Youth Theatre).
